| Nestled deep in
the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, Flatiron Lake sits like a precious gem surrounded by
pristine wilderness. Access to the neighboring Cloud Peak Wilderness Area is allowed only
on foot or horseback and as a result is lightly visited. This area has many spectacular
lakes and streams that are hard to reach, but offer superb fishing for native trout as
well as spectacular high mountain vistas and wildlife. Our camp at Flatiron Lake sits
alone, the only outpost in this remote region. |

Getting to
the camp is part of the fun and is done on gentle mountain horses following easy trails
past some of the Big Horn's best scenery. Our camp consists of comfortable wall tents with
cots, mattresses and propane heaters for comfortable sleeping conditions. All of your
meals are prepared by our staff cook and are taken either around a roaring campfire or in
our spacious dining tent. As an added amenity we have a private bathroom tent and shower
facilities. |

We can provide easy mountain horseback rides, offer great local hikes to nearby streams
and lakes or just enjoy a mountain meadow with fresh wildflowers blooming or elk roaming
the forest edges. Flatiron Camp is one of the most beautiful locations around and wečre
sure that youčll agree the combination of solitude, wildlife and clean mountain air is
the perfect antidote for civilization! |
